I am looking to develop a portal site. This is a job for a team who has developed both back-end and front end applicatins. Platforms: it does not bother me if you use, PHP, ASP.NET or even Java.j2EE.. However the requirements are: -user friendly- Users must find they way around the site -Must be easy to load- this is for a country with Dial up Internet and hence we need to take that into consideration -load up fast -Portal site- Must have the look and feel of a portal site -Nice graphic but the page must load up fast I am looking for: -A team with proven track record doing portal sites -You should do both back-end and front end of the site. (total solution) -Some examples of the sites you have seen The project- Developing a real estate website and/or Job network site This is a great example: [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] (loads up fast) Some designs that i dont appreciate: [url removed, login to view] even thoug this site is big and international, it is as user friendly as [url removed, login to view] or the other site [url removed, login to view] Once again. a huge site but not user friendly in comparison to [url removed, login to view] i hope you get the idea of the quality that is needed..
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
I am open to suggestions PHP or ASP.NET are ok. Java/J2ee is ok too.. you can suggest a platform.. Most important is the site itself and how you can make it look good some sites that i like are [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] I like a site that has lots of white colour and is user friendly and is easily navigated.
