Help Desk Software Features Customer has an issue From the link to the help desk (which displays the Whiteboard), a customer can then link to: 1. Top Ten FAQ's 2. Search the Knowledge Base 3. Submit a Ticket 4. View Ticket History Submitting a Ticket 1. Cust. logs into portal services. 2. Link to Help Desk. 3. Whiteboard w/ important messages 4. Link to “Submit a ticket?? 5. Cust. name is already filled in, and is linked to their user information database. The user info database would contain their company info, location, and hardware specs. 6. The Cust. selects the Category and Subcategory. a. Based on what they selected as the Subcategory, a form appears with essential questions. These are questions that the tech would need to have answers to in order to work on a ticket in that Subcategory. b. The technician would also be linked to the subcategory. They would know which subcategories they were responsible for, and could receive training to better handle those tickets. If they wanted to handle more subcategories they would need to pass a test for that subcategory. More than one tech could be assigned to a subcategory. c. “Question?? would be a subcategory in each Category. 7. The Cust. clicks the submit button. a. An email is generated to the Cust with ticket info, and suggestions of what to try while waiting for the scheduled technician. b. An email is generated to the Tech with ticket info and a link to the ticket. c. Alarm is sent to Blackberry or Wireless PDA. d. Ticket is scheduled in GW. Must be coded in ASP.Net using VB and use MS SQL Server 2000 as the database.
