I used to run one of the largest MP3 search engine databases online. It crawled hundreds of thousands of MP3 links and stored them on my database. I'm looking to restart it and need a completely redeveloped site.
I have a dedicated server so power shouldn't be an issue. I need a site that crawls websites, follows links to other sites and basically scours the web for .MP3 files, grabs their details such as title, length, quality, artist, name, album, etc. and stores it in the database (but does NOT store the MP3 file in our database). Then on the front end I need a powerful search engine that finds MP3 files by artist, song title and album and allows you to listen to it through an embedded .MP3 flash player and also download the .MP3 file directly from the website where it's hosted.
I basically need an identical copy of beemp3. Not interested in a copy script downloaded. This needs to be fully built from scratch and custom built too. I need something very powerful. It also needs to be able to crawl sites like beemp3 and grab their music too (I know they put in crawling/scraping restrictions but I believe it's possible to bypass - I need someone to try).
