Hi, From very lat one year i m working on prestashop. As you said you want to add slider on category pages it can be easily added with new module you just need to make a new module and hook that module on that page. I bid few but i bid only if i am 100% sure that i can do it. Bad luck i never get awarded for this but hope my one year experience and will help you to have slider on categories page.
