Add Stripe Payment gateway into existing Codeignitor PHP webapplication

I have a PHP web app built on codeignitor frame work I want to include STRIPE payment as an option within settings page show I can take card payments on my POS check out screen.
Shouldn't be huge job for competent dev, as Stipe is well documented.
