We are looking to build a custom CMS for a website comparing prices of offline merchants.
The point of this site is to provide physical merchants with a simple way to add their products and prices to our database so visitors can compare them online.
The front-end website design is ready and will be provided to the awarded freelancer.
The present project aims to:
1. Develop the backend
- Management of 3 types of backend users with specific rights (merchants, sub admins and super admins)
- Backend user registration, login, and account update
- Manage prices, products, brands, as well as categories and subcategories
- Manage front-end members and moderate the comments they leave on the front-end
- Manage front-end content such as some selected copy and visuals throughout the site
- Manage automatic emails to members and back-end users
- Messaging feature between back-end users
- Heavy use of javascript and ajax to improve user experience
2. Connect the backend to the frontend and activate all its features
- Members to register/login via traditionals email/password authentication or via social media authentication (Facebook, Twitter, Google +)
- Enable search and browse features so visitors can look up products and filter/order them on the results page
- Member’s Wishlist
- Rate and comment on both products and merchants
- Social media buttons on merchant and product pages
- Contact us feature
- Heavy use of javascript and ajax to improve user experience
3. Test and launch the site live on our servers, as well as warranty covering bugs post launch.
