Create a Joomla Template

This job is to upgrade our existing 2.5.18 joomla site [login to view URL] to joomla 3. To do this we also want a template created to use on the new site. Currently we are using a off the shelf template with some customizations but it's very difficult to work with and cluttered with unnecessary code. We would like a nice clean template created and all our existing pages converted over to the new template. We want out new template to have a clean modern look, be Bootstrap based, and fully mobile friendly. We are happy with the general layout of the pages and menus and just want a basic improvement and a template that is much cleaner to work with. We are fine to use HTML and CSS when creating articles but do need the menu system to be flexible so we can easily add new menu items. In addition to the main horizontal menu we also want a vertical menu that can be used on select pages and sections. Please share any example templates you might start with and how you can meet our needs. Let us know if you have any questions.
