Hi they way you explained it, it should be done over child theme, so further updates doesnt affect final result, since you will have many modifications to the original theme. Also, custom css code will solve and make any kind of layout you want to achieve, and original theme will not be affected. All i need is detailed list of all modifications you want to make, so i can properly make changes/add custom code if needed, but changes that you later want to make will also be easier to make (maintain website). Usually modification takes 1-3 days, but since i dont know now how big those changes you want will be, lets say that 5 days should be enough. If you have any questions, i am willing to answer them.
