I need someone to build a really simple excel macro to make requests to amazon's seller api.
It's very important that all code used is vba and that it's a macro, not a plugin, since we are trying to build a consumer facing product and don't want them to have to deal with installing any plugins.
Ideally, it should be able to run on windows or a mac, but must be able to run on windows.
We have already built applications that use amazon's api in PHP and Python, but we are having difficulty figuring out how to make these requests in vba.
The biggest issue we are running into is signing the request. From what we can tell vba does not have the same built-in functions as PHP such as the hash_hmac function.
So to summarize, you don't need to build any sort of program or application. You just need to give us a very simple macro so we can look at the code to see how to properly make the requests in vba. Once we're able to make the requests we should be able to take it from there.
This should be a simple project for anyone that has made requests to amazon's api using vba before.

Yes, you are correct. There is no built-in hmac_sha encryption within VB/VBA, so you should write your own. I had written it a few years ago for private project. And I think it still worked currently.
I am an expert in excel and VBA coding. I took a VBA class and passed it with A+ and now I am industrial engineer who works for Alstom. I've built many codes for my company.
