Duo Security WebSDK - htaccess

I am looking for a solution that would act as an alternative to htaccess, as described below.

Scenario (current) - Using htaccess, web folders can be protected via restricting by IP address and adding a password.

Scenario (solution) - when a user is trying to access a web folder a Duo push notification I sent, only when confirmed authentic in the response the user is forwarded on to its originally intended URI.

*I want a private message to explain your solution using Duo WebSDK at a high level

*I would prefer somebody who has experience with the Duo API
