I created a website for selling 3D models that can be 3D printed through XYZ, (not the real name). XYZ has excellent API resources including testing and verification site. 2. Website CMS is Wordpress and built with BoldGrid theme builder and Woocommerce plugin for adding, listing and selling products professionally. 3. XYZ API needs to be integrated fully and cleanly to work with Wordpress, BoldGrid and Woocommerce on desktop PCs and mobile devices without problems as it is running currently. Current site is fully ecommerce customized, including creating customers accounts. So, a customer needs first to create an account to proceed with the order using XYZ API. 4. Where possible, I prefer creating one single folder/file in the backend to add XYZ API parameters, some of which can be called through shortcodes into corresponding pages. Such as, selecting materials, adding to cart, checking out. This process will allow adding shortcodes into each product page using BoldGrid placeholders that are 100% desktop and mobile friendly. 5. The integration process must be tested fully through XYZ sandbox and the site public server to ensure full integration before going public. Workflow process example of the site and XYZ integration: • Customer lands on website, browses products and (browses the prices of different printing materials – XYZ API). • Each material price will have a 25% markup for design and site operation fees. The final price is what will be shown to customers, XYZ cost + 25%. • Customer chooses a product and material, (add it to cart and proceed to checkout – XYZ API). • Customer must first create account with the site, before proceeding to checkout. • Upon making payment and placing an order, customer receives confirmation on the site and sent email verification. • Other XYZ APIs will be utilized as explained on their docs page, such as order status, canceling, etc.
