Lead Game Developer

We are looking for a Lead Game Developer to help us develop our cross-platform mobile and Steam multiplayer games for our studio in Barcelona, in a friendly, collaborative and innovative environment.   You will work closely with the studio Management and the production team to deliver a best-in-class user experience and you will lead the work of your game developers to establish and deliver project goals.   As the Lead developer you have deep knowledge of the whole software engineering tech, excellent planning and analytical skills, and have a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver a top quality game. You also have developed strong team leadership skills and you are able to work with other team leads as part of your regular role.   Requirements: Passion for mobile games or games in general and software development. Able to work in a flexible and startup environment, where the job will evolve as the projects grow. At least 6 years in games development studios and having taken games to completion as a programmer. At least 2 years of proven experience leading teams of developers, from 3 to 5 people size teams. Experience in C++ /Unity based mobile games, and experience also in tools/SDK related to games. Proper compilation of all technical documentation (TDD) ensuring the quality, effectiveness and appropriateness of all the game code created in the company. Be able to share best practices and learnings with other team members. Be an active source during the game creation and specification (GDD construction and iteration process).   Bonus skills: Experience in Unity3D, a plus Experience on Steam, a plus Experience in action strategy games, a big plus Experience in games from Licenses Knowledge of databases and back-end technologies Experience in managing subcontractors Other skills and knowledge A detailed knowledge of the mobile games market and current consumer expectations. A true team-player; ability to work as part of a team in a SCRUM environment. Experience with Facebook, Google Analytics, Twitter APIs … Speaking or understanding Spanish is a plus, although not a must.   Education and Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar, computer games development post-graduate, or equivalent experience and trainings. Master in video games a bonus   Starting date: Jan 2016 Reporting to: This position reports to the Head of Production/ Game Director.   All applications must be in English.-
