We require a python programmer who is highly experienced/adept with Bitmex API and who can:
- Automatically place buy/sell orders on Bitmex based on price parameters.
Automatic as in it will take my input of price range, and automatically place bids on Bitmex if the price falls under that range
We estimate the assignment will take a few hours to complete
Please advise of references, your background with this work and fees
I already have the python script logic done. All I need is to be able to grab the open orderbook data using this API: [login to view URL]
However, when I import Bitmex API and call the Quote.Quote_get function, I get this error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/Users/user/Desktop/[login to view URL]", line 33, in <module>
File "/Users/user/Desktop/[login to view URL]", line 7, in init
File "/Library/Frameworks/[login to view URL]", line 213, in result
swagger_result = self._get_swagger_result(incoming_response)
File "/Library/Frameworks/[login to view URL]", line 237, in _get_swagger_result
File "/Library/Frameworks/[login to view URL]", line 282, in unmarshal_response
File "/Library/Frameworks/[login to view URL]", line 342, in raise_on_expected
[login to view URL]: 403 Forbidden: <html>
Apparently it is an issue with Bitmex API which they are fixing:
[login to view URL]
Would we be able to use a separate API out there to connect with Bitmex to be able to get the orderbook data?
Can we instead scrape the website to get the orderbook data?
