The Script, which should be in Python or in PHP, should be run on my webserver and do the following things:
1.) Ask user for profil ID (from [login to view URL]) which should be scanned
2.) By using the goodreads API list function and the api developer key the script should store all book titles and their authors from the user in an array
[login to view URL]?shelf=to-read&order=a
If book titles got different titles in english and german, the script should take the german title!!!
3.) Now the script should check for each title if there are entries on [login to view URL] (they don't provide an API)
Most of the time the search reports something like
"0 Angebote mit "Foo Bar" gefunden" if there are no entries for the title
But sometimes you receive
"! Keine Angebote in "Bücher" gefunden. Ihre Suche wurde auf "Alle Kategorien" erweitert." instead, which means that there are no books, but tauschticket provide something else (which we don't need, so for us it is the same as no results.
4.) Now the script should create a html table with the title, author, amount of hits on [login to view URL] and a direct link to the search for that title on [login to view URL]
That is all and I guess its pretty easy to do. So my budget is really, really small.
Last short wish, a range of the ticket cost for available books on tauschticket in the final table.
So i.e. book "foo bar" is available several times, the cheapest cost 1 ticket, the rest 2, then the range should be 1-2
I have experience using the goodreads api, as well as webscraping raw html pages. I believe I can get this done quickly and package it for easy deployment to your server.
