Update Magento and add "available from" attribute which automatically disappear

1. Update patches for Magento
2. Add a "available from" attribute, which will tell customer when the product will be in stock. There should be added one text field where we can add the text which we like to get displayed. One date-selector where we can select the date the text should be display from. And one date-selector where we can select a date when the text should be displayed on the website anymore.
2.1. The text should be added to the product list and on the product site.
2.2. The text should disappear after the "end date". Just like if you mark a product as "new" in the backend.
Above add on is to show customer when the products will be in stock. And to avoid alot of updating the text must disappear automatically. The website is not a webshop, but a online catalog.
