I am not from a software background so I apologize if the description of the project is poor.
In my company we have a team who formed a whatsapp group to communicate with each other and we usually share some interesting and relevant news to our business in that Whatsapp group. When other employees heard of this WhatsApp group they also wanted to get this information because it is very interesting to them as well. I thought of other options on whats the best way to share this information with them. So I thought of a Newsletter form which is sent to their inboxes via Outlook but where different people can quick share an article and a software will automatically build the newsletter. More details below:
I want to create a simple Newsletter Builder which allows multiple users to quickly submit their article and it automatically builds the newsletter. There should be an "Editor" or "Admin" view who has the permissions to edit the articles and publishes the newsletter. Once published the newsletter should be automatically exported to MS outlook which is sent directly from the user's client outlook without messing up the formatting. The view for users who are entering the articles should be very simple and be browser based supporting mobile browsers too.
So there will be x views:
a) AdminView (Editor): A view where a person select the components to build the template used for a specific Newsletter. For Example, Newsletter for Week 1, or Newsletter for HR, etc. The design can select from Layout, Header, Header Image, Color, Font. The admin can also select who are the people with access to add articles.
b) WriterView: People with access to the writer view go to a portal with a radically simple form to quickly add the article, for example the form will include fields for Article Header, Article Link, Article Image, and Article Text, and a submit button.
When a writer wants to add an article of interest he/she will fill in the fields required and hit the submit button. The article then gets added on a new line in the Newsletter.
Then when it's time to publish the newsletter the Editor or Admin logs on to his view and can edit the layout and articles etc and hit the Publish Button. This action should be able to export the article and open it with MS Outlook 2010 and above without messing up the formatting. From there the Admin can share the article with the list of recipients he choses from Outlook Address Book. The admin can then mark that the article has been closed and creates a new article which the writers can start sending articles to.
