Hi, I'm a Computer Vision Developer with Machine/Deep learning experience. I'm also a Data Engineer. I have in the past done a project for Mandate processing which is quite similar to Cheque processing. I've got a couple of questions about the project. * Are your cheques hand written? Printed? Or both? * Do you have a scanner that scans the cheques in a consistent manner or do you get cheques scanned by customers sent to you? The second case requires a lot more processing as a lot of variables in the scanning have to be accounted for. * What are the fields of the highest importance? Account number/Customer name/Dates/Signatures/Amount - words/Amount - numbers * What is the desirable accuracy per field for the data being extracted? Handwritten fields such as names consistently prove to have greater errors than handwritten numbers. * If the images are inconsistent, a deep learning model needs to be implemented to detect areas of interest in the cheques for processing. A deep learning model is extremely slow on a computer and needs a GPU to run. It also needs a GPU for training the neural network. GPU's are expensive. * How would you want to interface with the software? I'm only capable of providing a web interface in my current capacity. An android app would be out of my domain but i could create a web api that an android app could separately speak to and upload an image and extract the contents. Also, i would like to see a couple of sample images/pdfs to gauge better.

Hello In this application you should use Tesseract OCR and ML with python language. You will train the documents according to necessary data extract. The data will be extracted from OCR. and then these data will be classified using ML, after some documents the system will get the information really easily. I think your project has not much risk.
