Configure FFMPEG/ LAME/ YouTube clone on dreamhost server

I have the youtube clone script. I would like this installed on my dreamhost server.
From my understanding I need FFMPEG compiled and installed. I've attmpted to do this but may have not done it correctly. I've also read that LAME may need to be installed as well..
This may be something as simple and me using the incorrect path.
Those that are familiar with the YouTube Clone and DreamHost servers please respond.
