This project is about merging multiple excel files into a single spreadsheet (for MS Excel 2010). The deliverables will basically a modification of the Code provided by the following article: [login to view URL]
However, there are 3 main changes to the VB Script of that article
1. The Excel file name (from the files that should be merged) has to be parsed for a "name" which then should be included in the spreadsheet as two cells within a new row (i.e. within a "head line row"), whereby 2 empty rows are inserted as well
2. The 1st line and N lines (i.e between 0 and 18 lines at the end of the files to be merged) have to be suppressed when they are copied into the spreadsheet
3. The non-empty rows will get a new cell in a new column: this column contains a SQL insert statement with elements from the corresponding row and from the head line row (the exact SQL statement will be provided)
The developer must have experience with MS Visual Basic (VB) macro programming for MS Office.
Good communication skills are expected as well.
