Sleepy Pi 2 Integration with Solo Operating System Image

My name is Hal Mitchell and I am a wildlife biologist in the United States. I volunteer at a local nature center by conducting wildlife research on their property. One project I am hoping to expand and need to utilize a raspberry pi a+ along with a sleepy pi 2 ([login to view URL]) unit to keep the costs feasible. The research utilizes an ultra sensitive microphone to record the nocturnal flight calls of migrating birds. I need the sleepy pi 2 to turn on and off the raspberry pi on a schedule to help conserve power. The device will be set-up in a remote location with now power supply other than a small solar set-up with a 12 volt battery supply.
