I'm looking for assistance in designing a bluetooth and internet actuated locking/unlocking device which can be applied to common residential deadbolts. In application the device will integrate with existing deadbolts to add remote functionality to the deadbolt knob. Manual use and exposure of the knob is to be preserved. Device must be able to: - Record, send and receive data - Receive commands via bluetooth - Collect and record sensor input data - Sustain power via accessible and removable batteries - Mount simply and aesthetically on the inside face of a door with minimal intrusion - Weather reasonable sustained use Please respond with samples of your work and some ideas about your approach to the job. There are some examples of this type of device in the market for reference, but I'm interested to collect other interpretations.

Hello For my bid I will be giving you a working prototype of the mechanism as well as an Android app to control via your smartphone. The door-end transceiver would work a mechanism that can be connected to an existing dead-bolt for actuation as per your requirement. This would also have a battery backup and an inbuilt intelligent charging circuitry for the same as well as to prevent over-charging or extra power draw. Depending on the manufacturers as well as the age of the dead bolts as well as their fixing, there would be different types of forces required to actuate the bolt. This would be connected to the dead-bolts with universal linkages which will connect to our central mechanism. I will be researching into several solutions and offer you a few choices regarding this and also incorporate one of them into the prototype. This MAY be chargeable extra depending on the item and customization required and should hopefully take care of most types of existing bolts. Also, given this is a device requiring substantial security, an external keypad is suggested in case of non-availability of a radio link etc. Finally all these would need a security layer with good encryption (128 or 256 bit) between the hardware peripherals and software app etc. The keypad and security layer is also chargeable extra and we can incorporate it as we go along. Naturally it would be well-designed not just from the hardware view but also from the security view. Regards Soumitra

Regarding the task you described, I am confident I can finish it in minimum time.
