Hello,
First of allow me to answer your "screening" question. What is the capitol of London? Well, I am sorry, but it doesn't make much sense. You should have asked "What is the capitol of England?" or "What country is London a capitol of?" Hopefully pondering over this will be good enough, and you will read on...
My name is Akos. I was born in Hungary, but I have lived in the USA since childhood. I am fluent in both US English and Hungarian, which gives me an advantage over seven billion people that do not speak this unique language. I have been translating between the two languages as a side job since 2002. Examples of the diverse range of my completed projects include numerous websites and mobile apps, government publications, business communications and a couple of user's manuals.
Your offer of $8.00 per hour seems unusually low, even if you are hoping to recruit translators who live in Eastern Europe. You will probably find someone who may do the work for even half the money, but please keep in mind that the quality will most likely suffer. In my opinion the most reliable and honest way to price a translation is per word, which is also the common business practice. My rate is $0.07 cents per source language word. My minimum fee is $25.00 dollars.
Translation is my passion and I truly believe that it makes a big difference.
I am at your disposal, should you decide to hire me for your project.
Have a Good Day!
