Looking for a custom Wordpress theme for a new cooking site that deals with gadgets. The theme must make Wordpress NOT look like Wordpress. Winning bidder will need to provide several mockups and have one accepted before starting development work.
I've decided to update the requirements in the deliverables section so there will be no confusion. Please make sure you read all the elements required in the deliverable and indicate your bid as well as time frame needed to complete the project.
I'm fairly open to the design of the Wordpress template as long as it is "tasteful" and includes bright colors including red with some light enhancement of graphics that are appropriate for a cooking-themed website.
Possibility of follow-up work on other sites as well.
1) Complete and fully-functional working Wordpress 2.3.3 theme including source (code and graphics).
2) A graphical mockup of the theme in gif or jpg format must be agreed upon between the buyer and coder.
3) Deliverable of the theme must be accepted in ready-to-run condition and in editable source code. Images in their original format must be included (ex. PSD for Photoshop images).
The theme must include the following elements: o The site's name will be "Gizmos for Cooks" and a logo needs to be included in the bid. One of the "o"s in Cooks should be replaced with a cooking image like a pot or pan. I'd prefer that the logo be animated in a similar fashion as the "Gizmos for Geeks" logo where just the image replacing the "o" would shake back and forth.
o Theme must work with Wordpress v2.3.3
o Theme must include three columns
o According to one of three columns (Recipes, Gadgets, and Classes), there should be a slightly different look to the post both as an individual post and as part of the category or front page view.
o- Posts with the category Recipe should provide a small icon (50px by 50px) left of the post's title representing a recipe card. There should be a "Print this Recipe" link that opens another page with just the recipe in a printable format. There should be a specialized css bullet. Overall, the post should look like a nice recipe card.
o- Posts with the category Gadgets should have a small icon (50px by 50px) left of the post's title representing a cooking gadget such as a Kitchen Aid Mixer or a really interesting peppermill or perhaps a hand expresso gadget.
o- Posts with the category Classes should have a small icon (50px by 50px) left of the post's title representing a class and look similar to the gadgets posts.
o SEO concerns should be taken into account (title of the post becomes the title of the page when viewing the site for example).
o Advertising space should be accounted for including:
o- Place for a vertical banner ad (150x600) in one of the columns
o- Place for a vertical google ad (160x600) under the vertical banner ad
o- Place for google ad (336x280) centered under post when viewing individually (not on front page or in tagged category view)
o The following plugins will be used and need to be taken into account:
o- AJAX Comment Preview Plugin
o- FeedBurner FeedSmith
o- Google Sitemaps
o- Landing site
o- Search Meter
o- Similar Posts
o- Subscribe to Comments
o- Ultimate Google Analytics
o I would like something similar to the Latest, Popular, Sections, Archives dynamic box from the following theme: [url removed, login to view] I only need 5 articles listed and would like the tabs to read Latest, Popular, Gadgets, Recipes and Classes pointing the proper posts.
o Quick load so not too graphically intense.
