I need to deploy 135 docking stations for people to drop-in to work at.
I want to run a script to release and renew IP, ping two test printers on the same VLAN as the dock.
Normally I deploy 1-10 workstations, so it is easy to run command prompt:
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- ping [login to view URL]
- ping [login to view URL]
Now with this large deployment I want to streamline my process.
Please see the ValidationWinForm attached: I'd like the following to run locally on my laptop when I click the "Start Validation" button.
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- ping [login to view URL]
- ping [login to view URL]
End result that I need to document for this (and other deployment):
Save the new workstation number to cell 1 of xlsx or csv file
Save new IP address to cell 2
Save ping test result "ping [login to view URL]: Pass" OR "ping [login to view URL]: Fail" to cell 3
Save ping test result "ping [login to view URL]: Pass" OR "ping [login to view URL]: Fail" to cell 4
Time stamp: Monday, 12/19/2022 7:11:34PM to cell 5
Next workstation, results are saved to 5 cells in next row.
Need to create xlsx or csv file name from first workstation number that stores all the results.
Note, it would be very helpful if the printer IP addresses for printers stay on each refresh for next workstation so I don't have to keep typing it over again or pasting it over again.
The printers IP address is new only when I edit the existing IP address.
