Create a Video

PROJECT DOC. The video clip has to contain 20 to 35 seconds of voice-over recorded in the audio suite and 4 shots (each one of these containing ONE camera movement). Audio and video has to be combined in the video editing suite. At the start or the end, you have to insert a 3-second ORIGINAL graphic image which you are requested to make from scratch using Photoshop – no templates allowed), containing a [login to view URL], 2. brand name/Title and a [login to view URL] - All deliverables must be submitted in English - All music used in the project must either be copyright-free or you need the written permission of the rightful owner (see Copyright Clearance Form) - You have to make your own original title/brand name, logo, slogan. You can put it at the beginning or end of the video clip. You CANNOT use an existing template, brand name, logo, slogan or trademark. Make it in photoshop/illustrator and export it as a jpeg file before importing it in your editing program Production and Post-Production: o Audio:  Record a voice over  The text should be at least three phrases long (One word is not considered a phrase)  Take into account while doing the voice acting you are selling a message and should sound accordingly. Clear recordings and pronunciation.  Think of: No Distortion, Correct Microphone Distance, No unwanted Background Noise.  Make sure you have several takes for best editing (use “Wave PCM” .wav files, 48000Hz & 16-bit or higher)  Use “Fade in” (from – ∞dB) at start of the product and “Fade out” (to – ∞dB) at the end of the product. (“– ∞dB” means absolutely no sound, infinite silence)  Make sure the voice message comes across. Use proper leveling between music and voice.  Mix background music [copyright free!!!] to support the message  Avoid the use of bad (low) qualityMP3  Use looping techniques if needed (cross fades)  You are allowed to use extra sound effects [copyright free!!!] to amplify the message  Normalize your end product to 96%. o Video:  Shoot your raw material according to the Storyboard and Call Sheet. • Film four different clips with each of them containing camera movements. Don’t forget the head and tail of the clip. • Don’t only film every take once! Repeat every take until you have at least two good takes! Remember: video raw material is NOT a final product. In the video editing suite you will pick out of all your best takes and combine them into a final and proper sequence.  Edit the video material according to the Storyboard together with the audio • Import audio and video into the video editing suite and combine them in the final sequence. Produce three hard cuts in the video layer (don’t cut into camera movements! Show a clear start picture and a clear end picture).. Insert the graphic image file (3-4 second duration) at the start or end of the video. • 3 second head and tails for the start and end of the clip. • No video effects are allowed in criteria such as focus, exposure or white balance. • Video transitions are allowed (only Dissolve or Fade in) but only use if necessary. • Audio is not allowed to start later than the pictures  Fill out the Copyright Clearance Form • original hand-written document scanned as pdf.
