The project requires knowledge of VBA and MS Project Server 2003.
We have a SQL database and want to create enterprise projects from this database, using Enterprise resources , we also want to post actuals automatically from our sql database and update automatically. Also tasks may be added or deleted from our proprietary sql database , the solution must be smart enough to check for updates and additions and change the project accordingly.

Our company makes concrete pieces, like columns, wall caps, pavers, balustrades etc... we make molds then pour concrete into molds and wait a day, then we remove the piece from the mold so that the mold can create another piece.
- we currently have 2 sql databases, 1 holds the information to create the project (our bid system) the other tracks our product manufacturing via barcode scanning.
- A project can be created from the first database, it includes unique ID, name, overall completion date, production complete by date, phase #, phase completion date, (pieces x 6 hrs = duration), maybe other fields
from these fields production tasks are created, also mold production tasks are created (for each piece created a mold must be created) - (some tasks have premade molds so these tasks do not need a new mold created)
- each piece of concrete gets a barcode tag attached to it, with this tag we can track completion and track location. from this data our actuals can be entered into ms project to show percentage complete.
the Project server 2003 component and SQL database are quite complex and I do not really have time to do this myself, time is important, I am looking to get this done in 2 weeks from the start of the job.
I have had questions on our current systems. To describe it more ....
We bid on construction projects, we calculate all the pieces needed for construction and enter them into a custom VB program that is saved to SQL.
Our barcode program saves directly to SQL via another VB program.

Much of what I am asking to be done is basic functionality, and much of it could be done by recording a macro. The only special pieces are getting the data from SQL.
Many of the time estimates are too long, if you are over 14 days then you will not be considered.
Although not a VBA programmer I am an ASP programmer, so I want to pay someone to fill in the basic gaps to give me a start.
I can handle all the sql queries but I do not know how to do anything in project.
So I want to get some kind of button put into project, that will ask for a uniqueID to query in my proprietary database and go get information and creates a new project with tasks.
another button enters the actuals as % complete.
So all I should need to provide is an example project file, and the sample database with 2 tables (1 for actuals, 1 for project)
the vba code must create a project with the same content as the sample project.
I have attached a crude example in microsoft project format, which may help you see what is required.
in the attached project file there are notes for most tasks that indicate any parameters that are set for that task.
I have not included any leveling requirements. i will deal with that later.
