I just want to build a simple program that lists all the fonts installed on the system. Many of our clients want the facility to preview how a particular text looks like in different fonts. Option to specify formatting like Bold/Italics/Underline and font size will be appreciated. This is a very small project and thus the budget is small. One who can do this satisfactorily will receive more and more projects in future.

I would love to do this. I will give a program the will display all fonts on the machine a textbox that will allow you to input text and preview the text in that font, Bold, Italics, Underline just you asked for

A google search of "font viewer freeware" shows up dozens of utilities that do what you require.

Hello. I can have this font explorer program for you by tomorrow. I will even add a few extras like the ability to install/uninstall fonts from the system and give you a nice user interface...only if you want it :)
