Do not place a bid unless you have an office/offices in the United states that I can come visit and call for any future support.
I am looking for someone who has been doing this for awhile and has a portfolio of clean custom built sites. My site is very simple only a small number of pages. I need a team that really works well well with their color combinations.
Now I will get to the features.
First thing I should say is that this is a website for selling pets. Basically a classifieds site in a way that has a classy clean look unlike most classifieds sites. We deal with higher end/priced animals.
Also very important. I will have multiple people placing ads and I need to track their ads and have an email sent to me for approval before each ad runs.
*It will have my logo, a search bar (that will be able to search for key words in every part of the ad),
a separate search bar to search by ad #.
*When you mouse over onto the page, the rest of the links show up. Like Googles entry page. Plus my slogan will appear somewhere when everything else appears.
*one of the links at the top (just like Google) will be a drop down box to search by breed. I would like that drop box to be simple looking just like Googles.
Search Results page:
*It will have "organize by" options to minimize/organize the results (ie. highest price, closest to you etc.).
*It will have scrolling "Featured Agents" and "Featured Pets" boxes to the right of the results.
If possible I would like the "featured pets" and "featured agents" be set up so they only pop up the same kind of pet the buyer is searching for.
*When you mouse over the thumbnail image in the results box, the image will pop up larger.
No Results page:
When your search comes up without any results I would like it to have a rotating agent that has their information pop up on the "no results" page.
Advanced Search page:
Gives you a good variety of options to find what you need. Search by drop box for breed (this box needs to have a number next to it so they know if they even look in it or not).
Search by: birthdate, sex, date/month/week placed, pick of the litter, a search box that uses keywords to find a dog that has those sires in their blood, registries (see which dogs have what papers), color, check box: champions in their 4 generation pedigree? and I may come up with a couple others.
About us and contact us pages are pretty simple. I'm thinking maybe a pop up mouse over box for both pages.
Employment page: Something I can have a pic on a job description and my contact info...or HR's.
A page with rectangular boxes like we'll have for the results page. A spot for their (the Resources) logo, links to their site, contact information and a description.
Animal Profile page:
It will have differen't boxes on the results page like they do on NextDayPets.com. Other than the layout and making sure all these options are set up for the keyword search.
I would like to have a button "quick Link" that they can use to text the agent by cell phone using email.
***** The number one thing I need on this page is that a large screen of thumbnail pictures open up to the right of the pictures when you place the mouse on the picture. The Puppy Father and Mother will be stacked on top of each other. When you move the mouse onto those pictures they also inlarge and take the place of the oirginal image. It would work just like the start button/program options open up on your computer in the bottom left screen...in a way.
Agent Profile page: A directory of our sales agents alphabectially.
Ad posting page: Simple page set up to post an ad. Like a craigslist ad entry that only my agents can use and I can set up as many agents as I want.
Favorites: I need a system set up so they can save the dogs that they found on the site.
Features I may not have mentioned yet:
*I'm pretty sure I mentioned I need the ads to be approved by me before they run.
*Featured ad on results page needs to match the breed being searched for if possible.
*Easy, simple, simple easy easy. I want the user to find exactly what they want without any distractions all over the page.
*On the agent "ad Placing" page we need to be able to set to run for a certain amount of time and give the agent a notice a week before ad expires.
*The ability to mark ad "Free" or "Contract" so I see that before I approve it.
Some Sites I liked:
[url removed, login to view] is alright.

I really like how simple this site is. Although when you search for a dog you come up with 1,000 listings and it's hard to find exactly what you are looking for. Their puppy profile page is really nice, clean and simple.

I like the way their puppy profile page looks. I imagine something like they have for the option dividing boxes I want on my puppy profile page. I like how professional it feels.
Maybe I missed a few things but that's the meat and potatoes.
Remember, you must have an office in the U.S that I can come to see you at if I have any issues that need to be resolved.
