I can't create a template from a vm within Virtual Machine Manager. I have updated the agent, stopped/started some services, tried different hosts, updated the VMM with Windows Updates (not the host) but it keeps failing with this error:

Error (2912)

An internal error has occurred trying to contact the <host>.<[login to view URL]> server: : .

WinRM: URL: [http://<host>.<[login to view URL]>:5985], Verb: [INVOKE], Method: [FilteredHardDriveScout], Resource: [[login to view URL]]

The device is not connected (0x8007048F)

Recommended Action

Check that WS-Management service is installed and running on server <host>.<[login to view URL]>. For more information use the command "winrm helpmsg hresult". If <host>.<[login to view URL]> is a host/library/update server or a PXE server role then ensure that VMM agent is installed and running. Refer to [login to view URL] for more details.
