NDA Project Upgrade
Some employers demand discretion from their freelancers with regard to their projects, and Freelancer.com has a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) project upgrade for such instances. This upgrade enables employers to keep their project details confidential by requiring freelancers to digitally sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
The default Non-Disclosure Agreement provided by Freelancer.com is printable, giving the employer a contract of sorts. It stipulates that the freelancer agrees to keep private all the sensitive information about the project. This includes everything discussed in the Private Message Board (PMB) as well as the files which were provided to the freelancer to aid them in completing the project.
It is recommended that employers seek legal advice if they are going to get the NDA provided by Freelancer.com; otherwise, employers may just upload their own NDA document for their project.
The option to upgrade is available when posting a project. For Hire Me projects that have already been offered, the NDA upgrade can only be added if they are fixed-price and not hourly.
To upgrade on the Post Project page, just tick the box next to the NDA upgrade and click Post Project Now. The upgrade is only $19 USD.
The project will have the NDA tag when posted on the Browse Projects page.
On the project's page, the NDA requirement notification is posted on top of the project description.
