I think about software from a business first perspective. I recognize that over engineering projects adds little to no business value and just waste time and money. I take a look at what needs to be done at the end of the day, and I make something that fits into the work and system environment of your business. Of course I'll make suggestions for improving processes and future proofing if I see something :). Other than that, I'm a laid back person. I enjoy scuba diving and sailing. I even have my RYA Yacht Master certification! :) (That's equivalent to something in between a 6-pack licence and 200 Ton licence). I'm also hunkered down in Vietnam for the time being, but being a night owl, I have no problem working the U.S. time zones. If you have a project that deals with technology that's not on my profile, I am always looking for an excuse to learn something new. I am happy to talk about reduced rates in those circumstances.
