It also provides statistics on the number of hits to each page of the site. Converted the system from .Net 1.1 to .Net 2.0. Also set up Google up search for the county’s intranet. Worked with 3rd party tools like SelectSurveyASP for the county’s survey requirements. Also created a .Net menu control which was used by many systems in the county.

Involved in requirement analysis, development, documentation, implementation and user support of several web based Intranet, Secured Extranet and portal applications for the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The technologies used are ASP .NET, VB .NET, C#, ASP, XML, COM, ADO .NET, style sheets, Cold Fusion, scripting languages like VBScript, JavaScript, etc. The backend used is SQL Server.
One major project was to develop a real time secured press briefing site by which journalists can post questions during press briefings of the Fund which are shown live on the site. These questions will be queued up on the speaker’s screen after approved by a press officer. The speaker will answer the questions in the order they are posted on his screen. This system is intended to boost the Fund’s relationship with the media and hence is a very visible site for the Fund.
Another major project was an extranet system by which hotels around the world can send in their RFPs to participate in the IMF’s Preferred Hotel Program. This is a secured site, protected by Siteminder. An administrative system is also developed to manage the user accounts and approve/decline RFPs. Yet another visible project developed was a secured site to share confidential country documents of the Fund with the Financial Institutions of the world. Developed half a dozen user administrative modules for extranet sites which are protected by third party tools like RSA, Netegrity Siteminder, Webquota. One of this is a user provisioning system and a common user data repository for about 25 extranet sites. It involves complex work flows to manage extranet user accounts, and to request, ship, and activate RSA SecurID card for users across the world to access the IMF’s extranet secured websites. Involved in the Fund’s portal initiative and developed a number of gadgets like My Favorite Applications, CNN Live, Streaming Media, etc.
One of the major internal applications developed is a web change control tracking application. This enables developers within the organization to register their applications and request for moving them into production. The application keeps track of status of the implementation process and also keeps track of different upgrades to the applications.
Another application developed was an Ongoing Projects list of the Fund to publish IMF’s ongoing projects in various countries. Also developed an application to keep track of the servers, software installed, security patches and configurations applied to them. The application generates ad-hoc reports and also has the facility to send scheduled emails to subscribers.
Also provided user support for a number of Microsoft and other third party tools and applications like Internet Explorer, Front Page, Dreamweaver, OAG Travel information system, etc.
