As a consultant for The Community College Foundation of California in Sacramento I developed and implemented a framework using SQL Server 2005, , and C#.NET. to put their legacy system, Foster Youth ePassport on, which provided tools to track health and educational records for Foster Youth using a smart card. I also worked on a project named “Time and Attendance” that used a contact-less smart card for physical entry tracking. This system was developed with VB6 and a MS Access database.

As a consultant working as a developer/writer for MSDN, it was my job to develop applications demonstrating new technology and then document my work in the MSDN Library. My first project was a 'HelpDesk' app. My second project, took me through three and one half phases of the Duwamish Books sample application. While developing the application, I contributed to the documentation by writing four articles for the VB6 MSDN library.

I began with Centurion April of 1997 as VP, Technology Director. In '98 I worked part-time for Centurion and worked full-time with MS. I returned to in January '99 full-time as Technology Development Director I designed Eprim? architecture, the foundation for two apps, EprimRx? and EprimED?. I was responsible for product dev app setup, project and team management, hardware/software configuration/purchasing, and new technology implementation (i.e. Smart Card Readers, Speech recognition, etc.)

My main project was a Point of Sale application that used a credit card/ smart card POS terminal and PC. I used Visual Basic / Jet -- Access as the PC software and C as the terminal software. This software included credit card authorization and ACH bank transfers. I developed another application in Visual Basic with a MS Access DB for for record keeping and management-related statistics for Physical Therapy and Managed Care.
