Analysis of glenoid fixation features under simulated off-centre loading

Loosening of glenoid component is one of the major concerns in shoulder replacement surgery. There are many factors that can cause glenoid component loosening, one of which is arguably due to failure of the implant to achieve stability after surgery. Biomechanics of a lumbar section after disc arthroplasty

European Journal of Scientific Research, 39 (1). pp. 22-28.
Total replacement of degenerated intervertebral disc (IVD) is preferable to vertebral bone fusion due to the possible restoration of near normal physiological function of the spinal column after surgery. Results showed that the replaced IVD managed to restore the relevant functionalities with regard to the range of motion of the vertebral section.
