Academic project undertaken 1) Project Name : Vessel Information System Environment : Developed using VB.Net Project Description : I developed ©Vessel Information System© as a part of my [login to view URL] project at Visakhapatnam Port Trust. I used VB.NET for front-end, Oracle for back-end. The aim of the project was to maintain arrivals & departures of the ships at the port, to store the information in a database and to generate monthly, yearly or ship wise reports in a user-friendly format. These reports are useful for the Research and Planning Department of the port for performance appraisal and possible improvements. Other projects undertaken 1) Project Name : Customer Support System Environment : Developed using J2EE Project Description : As a part of J2EE training course, I developed ©Customer Support System© package. It allows a user to sign-up, login, query the knowledge base, post a complaint to the administrator and update the customer profile. I used JSP, Java Bean, EJB, Java Mail, JDBC and HTML in this project. I used Weblogic Server as server and Oracle for database. 2) Project Name : Token Issue System Environment : Developed using Visual Basic Project Description : I developed a ©Token Issue System© useful for doctors under the guidance of Prof. P.Sitaramayya, Andhra University (Computer Science & Engg.) Visakhapatnam. It operates on a PC with two monitors and keyboards. The PC system with one monitor will be at the doctor with the second monitor and keyboard at the patient-side in the waiting room. The patient after arrival can enter his particulars and get a token printed with serial no. along with expected time of his turn. The doctor on his side can call the patient serially or any particular patient of his choice and enter the treatment details to be stored in the database for future reference. 3) Project Name : Classifieds Site Environment : Developed using ASP Project Description : I developed a website in which a user can signup, login and then post advertisement category wise. Others can view the ads and send replies. These replies can be seen by the user along with the ads posted by him. I hosted this site and registered a domain.
