Tips for webmasters --------------------------- 1-COMMUNICATE!-I've been excited about some projects and have bid really low on some, because I wanted to work on them. But, the webmasters' failure to respond quickly, if at all, caused me to retract my bids. Programmers understand that you obviously have a company to run, and are sometimes busy. But, you must respond to programmers if you want to get an accurate bid and a project to be completed exactly as you had wanted. 2-Provide detailed, RELEVANT project info. You don't want to promise someone $300 for a project, then later tell them that you also want them to do additional work. It's not professional. While you must provide detailed information, it should be RELEVANT to the work that you want the programmer to complete. Posting a page long document on how three other programmers failed to complete your project and you subsequently had to get ScriptLance involved (yes, this has happened before) has nothing to do with the current project and is a waste of you and the programmers' valuable time. 3-Try to avoid uploading project files in PDF or Word documents if what you have to show the programmer can be posted in the project description or in a plain text file. But, this is more of a pet peeve of mine, because these documents take a long time to open on my computer. ;) ***Tips for Buyers*** Place a passcode in your project description and tell the bidders to include that in the bid or in a message in the PMB. This can help you weed out the automatic bidders or the programmers who find it hard to read the entire project description. Good luck!
