Automate EC2 backup in S3

Hi, I'm a senior cloud consultant and working heavily on AWS for the last 3 years. I can guide you for the best solution and later on help you implement it if you need. some options; writing a script on EC2 to take backup of some selected folders to S3 writing a lambda function which will take scheduled EC2 snapshots writing a lambda function which will run EC2 shell commands to take backup and save to S3 mounting S3 as a folder on linux and copying the files to be backed up. etc. I'm writing all this information as free assuming we can work in the future together. i can help you to mount your s3 bucket in your ubuntu machine and setup cron job to do the back up schedule. Thanks, Christian

I've been Doing Sys/network Administration for the last 8+ years and adept in managing SMEs to big giant corporates. I've an extensive working knowledge of Cloud Computing especially AWS and used almost all the major AWS services. As far as the current project is concerned, we can backup ec2 data to S3 by creating a small bash/python script using s3cmd or python boto library. I have done similar tasks for multiple clients.
