Hi, My name is Katrina Sisowath. I'm British-American, living in England. I am a published author of mythological fantasy and freelance editor. I edit and ghost-write non-fiction, romance, new adult, sci-fi and fantasy. I have also worked as a teacher for pre-school children and so know the key stages of development and language acquisition expected of each age group, which is essential to crafting a story for them. Working in the publishing industry has given me first-hand experience in the crafting of a book, how to ensure story arc, character development, conflict and resolution all maintain a pace that keeps the reader interested. I also will maintain your authorial voice throughout the manuscript. I work with a couple of publishers and Indie authors and enjoy a good working relationship with them—many of whom are repeat clients. I understand the needs of the publisher, author and acquisitions editor and am able to work within a time frame and budget that suits them. I use the multiple pass approach, each time looking at a different aspect of the manuscript and conferring with you. If there's something I believe needs a complete overhaul, I will ask for your feedback first, but if it's a small addition, I will put it in myself and let you make the final decision on whether to include it. I would not say I'm the best, since there are many skilled writers here, but what certainly makes me better than the next is a definite command over vocabulary, fluency and lucidity in expression and adaptability, since I can write long, connected sentences or short, simple ones as required or according to requirement. Good morning As a person obsessed with storytelling and narrative, I feel this would be the perfect project for me. I'd love to create a short story, easy to understand for young children. Being passionate about animals I feel I could bring a strong moral to the story without detracting from the engaging and playful nature of a children's book.
