Hi!
Im currently pursuing the permaculture life in Melbourne, Australia!
I live on an urban farm with chickens, bees, a hothouse, greywater systems, solar hot water, and over 60 edible and medicinal plant species on site.
I've also started up a gardening collective with my housemates, we propagate seedlings and sell them by donation, as well as running workshops. We've only just begun, and have many other plans besides. We're on facebook as the 'The Avant Gardeners'.
I also volunteer at CERES environment park around the corner, which is a fantastic urban farm and education centre. We propagate organic seedlings to sell to the public, and the park runs tours for tens of thousands of schoolchildren every year.
Next year I'm hoping to attend an edible forest garden design intensive with Dave Jackie, as well as study a graduate certificate in permaculture, and I'm currently working through the Edible Forest Gardens texts.
Phew, anyhow, I'd love to write blog posts for you. This summer (your winter) I'm planning to travel to Tasmania and the North coast of NSW Wwoofing at various permaculture farms, building gardens for my family, and generally going on adventures in the country and the bush.
I could use these travels for some inspiration, as well as write about the things that are going on around here in Melbourne when I'm here. I can write about urban farming things more generally if you prefer.
Finally, I have a good DSLR for pictures as well :)
