I am the principal broker of a real eatate agency. I have over 40 years experience in the real estate and auction industries. This experience covers nearly all aspects of these fields including, marketing, development, financing, legal and management. For the past 12 years I have devoted 100% of my Real Estate Agency to the Real Estate Auction industry. For generations farm and industrial auctions have often featured real estate as part of their offerings but I was among the pioneers in the United States of applying this method of marketing to Residential Real Estate. Since then I have organized and/or participated as a real estate broker in over 3000 individual real estate auctions in the Northwest United States. Over the course of these auctions I hardly ever saw anyone from the traditional real estate marketing industry. Where were they while we were selling all of this property? With there head in the sand because their tried and true system was working just fine, thank you. As a matter of fact they were spending a fair amount of effort slamming our methods as somehow shady at best and maybe not ever legal. Unbelievable how a couple million real estate agents nationwide could not and still don’t see the advantages of the oldest method of marketing in the world. The slow real estate market of the past few years has altered this perception. When they see national companies such as coming into their own back yard and selling property when no one locally is selling anything, they start to asking “How do these guys do this?” I know this business, what works and what doesn’t, how to get the listings, how to get the bidders, how to get them closed and how to get paid. I want an outline of a plan for educating these professionals and bringing them into the fold so that they can make money not only in good markets bur in slow ones as well. Eventually I will need a help in developing a seminar, webpage marketing and anything else needed for a successful consulting business.
