I have one table which has multiple contacts listed on each row for the same companies. I need a way to take the list and convert it from showing several contacts for each company on several rows to columns next to the company.
The attached excel file gives an example. Sheet one is the original table/list and sheet two shows the result. You will see in sheet two that there is one company listed per line with the contacts listed as first first_2, first_3, etc.
You can use the web address as the unique identifier.
I need a query for this that I can use in access for a table with these specific columns.
I need this as soon as possible.
this could be done via the cross analysis function if there was only one contact info to dispatch or if they could be merged in one cell.
to get exactly this layout, a little VBA code has to be written.
what if you get more then ten contacts ? do you expect truncation of the extra ones or split more columns ?
Hi, I could do this very quickly I am looking for experience on how this site works. I could write teh SQL query so that you just past it into your database run it and all your problems are solved.
Dont think th low price is because of inexperience I have been designing/implementing large datbases for the last 6 years and this sounds like a straight foward duplication removal.
