Arduino add Checksum for wireless communication

Hi,

I need a freelancer now, this project has to be finished in the next few hours.

I need a function for Arduino which calculate a checksum for a binary string up to 64 bit in length (it will get converted to char and transmitted wirelessly).

the result should be 8 digits length binary code.

i need to be able to call this function as follows:

crc_check(data).

the function need to perform as fast as possible.
