I have experience in shell programming and the c implementation for this word counting is already present with me. So if you reward me the project, I will be able to deliver the source code files very quickly.

Creation or use of a static library and include file to hold the logic behind the word count for easy word handling and editing .The creation of a shell script using bash utilities along with other linux commands in a script to accomplish the same fete.
