Cross-country fundraising bicycle ride website

I am riding across the United States from Portland, OR to NYC this summer to raise funds for an organization rebuilding neighborhoods in New Orleans. I plan to reach NYC for the 10 year anniversary of September 11, 2001 to honor my father who was killed that day in the World Trade Center. My goal is to network with this project (via website) in order to raise as much money as possible for an American city in need, where tragedy struck but where opportunity lays with proper resources and determination. I don't have any experience building websites and feel overwhelmed with all the other things I need to do to plan this trip. I want a website that has a section 'about the ride' with my history and background as a context for why I'm doing this as well as a section for my mission statement. Then I also need a page that explains the organization, Common Ground Relief and a link to donate. I would also like a forum for people to write something about their own reasons for donating or to just show support. I also want a page dedicated to my dad with photos and description...etc. The mission of this trip is 3-fold, 1 is personal: to commemorate my dad and everyone who was killed that day, the second is to gain a sense of understanding of what is means to be a young American today--I want to see the country, meet some of my fellow citizens I wouldn't otherwise meet and understand the similarities and differences in ideas and culture from the Pacific to Atlantic, the third is to remember those in need, like those who still are without a home in N.O. The growing disparity between the rich and poor in this country is scary and should be talked about much, much more. I want this trip to be a small part of that big conversation. Also, I would like to journal about this trip as I go so I would like to be able to blog daily and post photos along the way. A map of our route across the states would be great too. Honestly, I would like to do the writing on the site. This would make the most sense since it is my project and I want my goals and motivation for this to be genuine. I just need a really sharp-looking website to start working with, I need the format and the host up and running and then I can take it from there. Looking forward to getting this going! Thanks!
