Hi,
We have a table holding data in a format and want to run a SQL job that will process that data and insert it into a different table in a different format.
The "source" table is normalized and we want to insert it into a non-normalized "destination" table.
Look at the DB schema in the attached file. We want to:
a. For each value of the RESPONSIBLEPARTY column in the "source" table, create one entry in the "destination" table with the same values for RESPONSIBLEPARTY, PHONENUMBER, SUBSNUMBER, LOB, LANG and RECERTDATE.
b. Then for each different n value of FIRSTNAME, LASTNAME, PERSNUMBER in the "source" table, update the value of FIRSTNAMEn, LASTNAMEn, PERSNUMBERn.
This has to be in pure SQL 2000 compatible format.
I hope this is clear. Please look at the uploaded DB schema and sample data files.
Thanks,
Dan

Hello
Conceptually.. this job can be completed in above mentioned estomate. But i feel there are few things which need discussion over the data structure of the resulting tables.. I feel it can be structured in a better way..
if possible.. plz initiate a detailed discussion on dtaa structure before finalising on it..
