1. Use a content management system (CMS) if possible. WordPress is usually a good choice. A CMS allows for easier management of content/images and it is search engine friendly. 2. Design the site for the visitor, not you. 3. Make sure the website is “mobile friendly”. This could be a “responsive design” add on to a standard site or possibly a stand alone mobile website. Go with “responsive design” as a general rule. 4. Create the website with the goal of getting the visitor to take some action…typically picking up the phone and calling you or filling out a contact form, etc. A strong “call to action 5. Make the site visually appealing and easy to navigate. 6. Make sure written content is easy to read and understand for the visitor. 7. Make sure your phone number appears in the upper right quadrant of every page.
