My name is Barbi Larkins. I am new to Freelancer, but have skills and experience directly related to your project. I am a native English speaker, and experienced in magazine and brochure layout. I currently edit and lay out Faces Magazine, a regional publication in New Zealand. This is a quarterly print and online publication. For this, I edit submitted content for grammar and punctuation, source and create illustrations, upload content to the magazine website, and lay out the print version in InDesign. I am accustomed to working closely with printers to ascertain their specific printing requirements to ensure a print-ready document. I am also experienced with corporate branding and identity. I have recently completed the branding of Tripps catering, which included a logo, brochure, portfolio, and packaging label. We worked closely together to provide consistency of branding across their marketing materials to convey the family history behind their brand. I have previously worked with local theatre groups on stage show marketing which included logo design, advertising, and program design. These especially involved tight deadlines and close cooperation with printers. Fortunately I thrive under pressure. Hello, I have several years of experience in practical Magazine design and brochures/pamphlets design, including technical preparation and graphic design. I was a technical lead for scientific newspaper design team, which was responsible for design preparation and printing of University science magazine which was released once per month, also, my team was responsible for creating and improving the complete corporate design of a magazine which was related to overall corporate branding and presentation of a University itself. At the same time, I was a lecturer for the students on Multimedia Information system department, teaching graphic design in AdobeInDesign (first QuarkXPress than switched to Adobe), Photoshop, Illustrator even 3D graphic sculpturing in Maya 3D. As you can see I have lot of experience and I am doing this for my one pleasure, since I enjoy working with AdobeInDesign a lot. I'm sure you wan't be disappointed if you choose me for this project :) From my side, I would like to understand is this a one-time project of designing a layout for your magazine, or it should be a longer-term project - work on preparation and design of your magazine twice per month?
