Design a Logo

Background: My partner and I live at Kennedy Point on Waiheke Island and have a bunch of kayaks that we and our friends use. There are also a group of like-minded residents that we commute with on the ferry who have longed joked about the Kennedy Point Kayak Club! As much a gathering of folk who like to enjoy a drink, as much as paddling. So we’d like to bring that joke to life by creating some t-shirts for us all to wear ( in a lovely light blue) that are fun, but also reflect an unwarranted sense of history – much in the style of the traditional and posh boating clubs of England. Design task To create a compact logo that contains the wording: Kennedy Point Kayak Club Waiheke Island And featuring some kayak paddles (not oars) crossed over a bottle or glass of wine. It should reproduce well on the back of a t-shirt but I wonder if a short-form version usng the initials could be incorporated onto the left breast of the t-shirt so there is something noticeable from the front? i.e. K.P.K.C. Waiheke Island Look up the logo for the Oxford University Boat Club to get a idea of what I'm thinking (though without the box behind). Clearcut logo preferred that can work in either white on the light blue or in navy perhaps. But also looking a little less pristine and distressed so it looks 'old' maybe.
