Hi, As per my understanding you need a live audio streaming app (like radio app) with additional functionality of input received form various DJ's located around the world. For this you can divide the complete project into three different part: 1. The end user Mobile App (Android and iPhone) which will receive the audio. 2. The DJ, who will feed-in the audio 3. The server, that will connect the end user with the DJ The mobile app should be a native app for iPhone and Android. Many freelancer here will use third party platform to develop a common app for all the platforms. (make sure you ask them to develop native apps for each platform as the app created using third party platforms can develop performance issues in long run) The DJ will feed the audio into the system with an auxiliary audio cable, the system(computer or mobile app that can be discussed) would convert this analog audio stream to digital and feed it into the server. The server would be running in cloud which will allow the multiple devices to be connected to it. It will then cache this input digital stream and send it to the tuned in users. All the three components will be developed separately and after working out the proper details. My bid is not final as the scope of this project is very vast and the actual work required can be determined only after defining the complete scope. The dj's would use an application that will allow them to upload the music to our server and from their the users can select the music and play them. The upload app will use the multi threaded upload so that data can be uploaded in small chunks and stored on the server. The clients will also use a multi threaded downloaded which will download the music in real time.. Regards Deepak

I have been developed many stream project I have been developed VirtualSat stream app on iOS, Android, Mac, Linux, Windows and Windows8 Metro App. In this app, I was using HLS stream protocol from wowza media server. I think on the iphone, the best solution for Stream is HLS. - The reasons are follows. First: In the HLS, they can support Adaptive Video Frame rate dropping. Second: In the HLS, if you can use H.264 and AAC, then we can use hardware decoding so there will no delay or stopping. Third: This can support both of Live and Vod method. - App Description. I am sending the Screen Shot of VirtualSat app, if we can meet on skype and I can show the code and ipa file for you. In the first page, users can log in to virtual sat company and then they can download the stream channel list from the server. After downloading they can see touch the stream channel list and see the video on their iPhone, Android, Mac, Linux and Windows. - Desktop OS and HLS. I have already hls framework for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and even windows8 metro. So I think I can develop your project successfully. What do you think? Hello To run an app of this you need an App, better local PC/Mac, Sound Recording tools, streaming server. Maintaining a streaming server might be difficult and so I think you may subscribe for readymade services, this will also reduce the development cost and time.
