iPad App - Quick order
Overview
In times of no phone signal, the user needs to be able to select an account, a branch if applicable and add items to an order to be saved offline. This information will have been preloaded into the app. When a signal is obtained, they can send the saved data to a web service for processing.
The app will need to read in a list of items/prices (approx. 1500), accounts (approx. 500) and branch (approx. 500) information from an XML file.
This is an internal use only so does not need any specialist design or branding skills. Black text on a white background is sufficient.
Technical details
It must run on an iPad.
Data will be read in XML format from a http location to populate the local database for:
Items - id, name, price, RRP
Accounts - id, name, address
Branch - id, head office id, name, address
Data must be saved offline until it can be synched, at which point it will form an xml document and send to a web service.
Once complete, it can erase that information locally.
The XML format has yet to be decided so your input would be welcomed.
EDIT - The app would also need to enter a customer reference (simple text box) and a requested delivery date (calender pop up). It should also show the company logo at the top. There should be a quantity field for each item as well.
